Intello - 2024 French Stallion Trail (EBN)

A regular top 20 finisher in the French Sires’ Championship, Intello’s switch to Haras de Beaumont for the 2023 season coincided with an upturn in fortunes for the son of Galileo, who remains his sire’s only Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club winner. Adhamo returned Intello’s name to the Gr.1 honours board when winning the 2022 Gr.1 United Nations Stakes, a triumph that was supplemented by wins for Junko in the Gr.1 Grosser Preis von Bayern and Gr.1 Hong Kong Vase last year. During a typically bountiful 2023 for the sire, his veteran son Regal Reality won the Gr.3 Diomed Stakes, Clever Candy, Dawn Intello and Maud Gonne Spirit struck at Listed level, and there were also Gr.1 placings for Moon Wolf and Adhamo. Intello continues to offer exceptional value for money, 12 of his 13 yearlings offered at the Arqana October Yearling Sale changing hands for an average of just over €43,000 and top price of €135,000, while the fact he covered 125 mares last year confirms his enduring popularity.
The product of a distinguished Wertheimer family, Intello’s Gr.2-winning dam Impressionnante (Danehill) is a half- sister to the Gr.1 winner and sire Mondialiste (Galileo). Versatile with regards to trip and trained by Andre Fabre throughout his career, he also won twice at Gr.3 level and finished third behind Treve (Motivator) in the 2013 Gr.1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
